poem (mother III)

Created by Hannah 10 years ago
Mother III I love you mother And as you lie there Crumpled yet wholly undefeated I long to hold you Shield you from the world’s Darkness and doubt With the bones of my body Gather you into my womb For a backwards birthing Swim home with you upon my back Resplendent, astride an arching animal Shining in the sun to shore Home to Him who patiently awaits His lover
